Digestive problems are a big problem for people in different parts of the world. At present, people have gained a lot of weight due to the importance of mental work instead of physical work and various digestive problems have been created.
The food of the human body is digested in different parts of the alimentary canal. In fact, the digestion of food starts from the mouth and ends in the intestine.
Digestion of the mouth:
After eating human mouth only carbohydrates are digested but not proteins and fats are digested. After the food goes into the mouth, we start chewing with the help of the jaw, then the saliva juice from different salivary glands mixes in the food and starts the stage of initial digestion. Saliva is secreted from the parotid glands on either side of the base of our ears, the submandibular glands on either side of the lower jaw, and the sublingual glands at the base of the tongue.
The saliva secreted by the salivary glands contains the sugar-breaking enzymes tylenil and maltase. This tylenil converts starch to maltose and maltase maltose to glucose. Tylenin's work begins in the mouth and ends in the stomach.
The foods are salivated and partially digested and reach the stomach through the esophagus. Numerous gastric glands are located in the inner wall of the stomach. In the gastric glands, HCL is secreted from the auxin glands and pepsin secreted from the peptic glands. Gastric or peptic can digest protein and fat. Pepsin converts dietary protein into peptin and converts gastric lipase fat into fatty acids and glycerol.
Digestion of the intestine:
Then the digestion of the intestine begins. In the small intestine, carbohydrates, protein, fat foods are digested. After the food reaches the small intestine, the stomach juice, pancreatic juice, and intestinal juice mixes with the food. Although bile does not play an important role in digestion, bile salt helps in digestion and absorption of fats. In intestines, enzymes like amylase, maltase, sucrose, trypsin, lactase etc. play an important role.
The absorption process begins after the food is digested in the intestine. Respiration begins through the villi located in the intestine and digested simple food begins to reach the veins through the bloodstream. Vitamins, mineral salts and water with digested simple foods are absorbed directly into the digestive tract as they do not require digestion.
Subsequently, through a special process, simple food turns into a part of the protoplasm which is called assimilation. Simple sugars and proteins are absorbed into the bloodstream in the intestine and enter the circulation and enter the liver. In this way the nutrients reach the cells through the organization in different ways and the inedible is excreted from the body in a special process.
The process by which indigestible food is excreted from the body is called expulsion. The human body's indigestible food enters the colon and is excreted in the faeces in partial digestion by numerous bacteria. The stool is yellow in color due to the mixing of bile pigments. The mucus is mixed and the stool becomes slippery and is excreted from the body through the anus. In this way food is digested through the intestine starting from the mouth and absorbed into our body cells through absorption and assimilation.
Why man suffering from digestive problems?
Indigestion has become a common disease among people in many parts of the world. Reviewing the human food digestion system, it is seen that the digestion of carbohydrate foods starts from the mouth so there should be an amount of carbohydrate food along with fat and protein. The various salivary glands in the mouth secrete saliva and partially digest the food in the mouth so there is a special need to chew enough to eat the food. Adequate amount of saliva juice is secreted from various salivary glands in the mouth and partial digestion of food.
Many times due to lack of time, people eat very fast due to the habit and do not get enough saliva from the mouth, so there is no digestion of food in the mouth, so the digestion of food starts directly in the stomach. The various processes in the stomach may not work well enough to keep physical activity low.
In addition, due to lack of water, lack of sleep, etc., the digestive process of the stomach and intestine is often disrupted, resulting in delay in the completion of the digestive process and digestive problems. So just as there should be a predominance of carbohydrates, proteins and fats in the diet, there is a need for physical activity, adequate watering and adequate rest. Only when there is harmony between physical activity and human food, digested will be in general and people will be free from digestive problems.
